I have been practicing accounting for over 18 years. I was involved in Public Accounting for 8 years providing comprehensive tax and accounting services to a variety of owner operated and medium sized business clients across many industries, as well as providing personal tax services. Subsequently, I shifted my career into private industry and for 7 years served as the financial controller at the head office of a major Canadian group of companies in the hospitality and franchising industry. This role within the Senior leadership team in the corporate world gave me the unique perspective at having both the practical experience involved in running a business and the day-to-day problem solving that is required. Also, having the professional background to help guide and assist with long-term strategic goals of the business, including the scope of knowledge to provide additional support with tax advice and planning services.
